I've been looking on Stub Hub for good tickets to Heaven and Hell/Priest/Motorhead/Testament...
i might try getting tickets to mayhem even though i hate that line up, my gf likes slipknot and disturbed, shutters

Yeah, try to enjoy machinehead and mastodon if you go tho, those two are the only bands worth seeing but they both slay

I am going to the 2nd NYC show next week and I can not wait (1 DAY AFTER PAGANFEST!!!)

and go to www.metalsetlists.com

a forum where people post setlists for current tours.  The Opeth setlist has seemed pretty consistent, but Dream Theater always changes around their setlist during the tour

Talk about a real crash and burn.

Last year was still better than '06. ::animatedlaugh

Says the Anime nerd...

Ozzfest 07 was probably the only event u were able to afford... o wait.

Ozzfest 04 > Ozzfest 05 > Ozzfest 06 > Ozzfest 07 .... See the pattern? ya GTFO

07 was miles away from 06, you fail

ARE U FUCKN SERIOUS!?!?!

Ozzfest 07 was filled with a shit ton of garbage bands...

LORDI? WTF IS THAT SHIT!??! POZERS!!!!

In This Moment
Chthonic
Black Tide..... dont make me start with these 3 bands.

Ankla
The Showdown SCREAMO DOES NOT FUCKN BELONG AT OZZFEST.

THAT LINE UP HAD 8 DESENT BANDS. FUCKN GARBAGE!!!

A) ChthoniC shreds face

B)06 had SYL, Between the Buried and Me, that's it.  The rest was shitty metalcore, and terrible bands.  When you have Judas Priest and Iron Maiden as your act before ozzy in 04 and 05, than have SOAD the next year, that is the definition of an epic failure

6  Forum / General Discussions / Dude, Wiz, might as well say who the bands are....... on: May 12, 2008, 03:16:19 pm
The lineup equates to fail, and being in dallas equates to epic fail.  Ozzfest is officially dead.  By the time this stupid event rolls around town I will have already seen, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity, Dream Theater, Opeth, Vader, Iron Maiden, Rush, Ensiferum, among many others, all of which combine to form a lineup that ozzfest could never even touch.  So in conclusion, we don't even need ozzfest anymore so thanks for past memories ozzy, but your time is up.

Into the Fire
I Am the Anger
Head Up High
Mercenary Man
The Fire and the Fury
Insanity

It went something like that I believe

Yeah jimbob, DT is one of my favorite bands as well and I was so excited to see them.  Although I wish they were headlining, Arch Enemy really did put on one of the best performances I've ever seen, they're extraordinarily talented.

As for the setlists they went something like (but not exactly)

Arch Enemy:Blood On Your Hands, Ravenous, Taking Back My Soul, Dead Eyes See No Future, My Apocalypse, Revolution Begins, Dead Bury Their Dead, I Will Live Again, Enemy Within, Nemesis, Snow Bound, We Will Rise

I think I'm missing one or two, maybe burning angel and rise of the tyrant? but I'm not sure

DT:Terminus (Where Death Is Most Alive)
The Lesser Faith
The Treason Wall
The Wonders At Your Feet
Misery's Crown
Focus Shift
Punish My Heaven
Final Resistance

and icipher may have been in there but I'm not sure

Some guy named Jake, they seriously found him like two days before the show and he had to learn their whole set by last night.  To my surprise he was very good.  When I was talking to Dino, Joe, and Tim before the show they said they seriously found him "under a rock" and didn't even know if they were gonna make it or not to last night's show.  But he's good, and they but on a very good show.  Tim Yeung, I can't even describe how amazing he is behind the kit.

static said: I must say I primarily went for dark tranquillity, but Arch Enemy really did steal the show.  The played a pretty long setlist and included some solos from both Amott brothers.  *I really underestimated how good arch enemy weere going to be live* Dark Tranquillity's set was 8-9 songs and was amazing but I wish was a tad longer.  Divine Heresy and Firewind were both amazing as well, if this tour comes by any of you guys you HAVE to go, you won't regret it, all four bands are killer.

I have faith they can do it, but even if they don't going from being the worst team in the league by far last year to the eastern finals this year is a grand enough accomplishment for me
