I think tool, soulfly, metallica and rammstein fit this, soundgarden cant because of the drummer issue with pearl jam To pull fans it would have to be Tool, metallica. or rammstein (which refuses to play USA) I would love to see tool play. To hit a few points, Metallica is an 80's band, not a 90's band, they've just lasted a long time. Also, Rammstein does not refuse to play the US, as they stated that the touring cycle for this new album would in fact see them playing shows in the USA. I'm also unaware of the soundgarden issue you're talking about, so until i see info that proves otherwise, i'll take your word on that.

I wouldn't mind it one bit. You all bring up the fact that it's ozzy's festival and he should headline every night. But look at it this way, if Metallica is top billing, then that's because Ozzy gave them that slot. Look at all the times that he headlined the second stage. He's getting up there in age, maybe he doesn't want to be closing every night. I think ozzfest will keep going even after ozzy is done, maybe he's trying to ease people into the notion that he may not be on the fest for that much longer. The guy is god, but you can't expect him to be there forever rocking the closeing slot.

That would be great, i don't think it's gonna happen, just because i think there is still alot of animosity towards phil from vinnie, but if it happened i would jizz my skeleton.

Yeah, those fucks, White River Amphitheater is in Auburn, not Seattle, but it will be there. Always is.
The line up isn't that bad, scratch A7X though. Texas Hippie Coalition is a pretty good band, very pantera-esque.

I truly do not understand the animosity towards the Mayhem, all the bands except five finger death punch has played ozzfest, so I don't know the issue. Mayhem has been more than accomodating with their tour, while I will probably go to ozzfest, they have not really done anything to make me want to go. My past experiences there are the only draw that I have right now. It may be heavy metal, but it's still a business, and ozzfest is really shitty in the customer service department right now.

You just gotta ride the wave of bullshit on these forums. I've got my mayhem ticket so it's not like i'm going through the summer unsatisfied (with the exception of korn, it's a sick main stage, and the side stages aren't the worst, only 2 bands i could take or leave.)
