I made the mistake of buying a bootleg VHS back in 99 and it was very poor quality.  It was the Montreal show (which I also have on a better quality cd).  Very bad.  Never make that mistake again.

bootleg VHS of Randy in Montreal?...  either you have something really really rare or that is mislabeled.  what songs are on it?  I bet its actually the NYC Palladium set 2 that has been around forever now.  That bootleg is rough but its I DON'T KNOW, CRAZY TRAIN and half of BELIEVER.  Looking forward to your reply mattSabbath

You can watch the full concert (minus the time it takes the photographer who shot the footage to change the 8mm reels which were only 3 min long)

So.. is it safe to say that if the camaraman had to change reels every 3 minutes there is no complete songs? 

If so that doesn't change the beauty in what has been found.  This footage is AMAZING quality especially for 1981.  Not to mention how close to the stage it is.  Ozzy is right on top of the camara in the one shot.  And with the angle the camara has it allows fans to see Randy in the background for most of the shot. 

Very glad to see Rudy as part of this doc.   It was starting to look like no one from that era was gonna speak about it other than Ozzy and Sharon.  I'm sure Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake aren't involved but I hope Tommy Aldridge is at least on there somewhere. 

 

Rudy's face is PRICELESS while watching that footage.

I think NO MORE TEARS was clearly the best commercial success.  But without Blizzard of Ozz we would not be having this conversation.

Live albums TRIBUTE is the hands down fav.

Can't wait for the "unseen" footage.  Hopefully it really is stuff that I haven't seen.  I've followed Ozzy's career for a while and I've seen a lot of "unseen" footage that hasn't been released so hopefully I won't just throw my money away.  Then again, with Ozzy, it's not ever really throwing money away.

MattSabbath13 it is indeed UNSEEN Watch the clip.  People from Ozzy's camp had it at the Randy Rhoads Memorial back on March 19th.  Some of the Songs are that on the New York City video are:  Mr Crowley, Revalation Mother Earth, Crazy Train, Flying High Again, Steal Away The Night and No Bone Movies.    Thats a lot to be excited about.    There is also some Diary of a Madman tour footage from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

yeah.. they don't mess around..  the www.ultimaterhoads.com site isn't like that.  we cuss each other over there lol... not really but its more normal.  Randyrhoads.tk used to get ugly sometimes and there were people that would post there like Kevin DuBrow and Kelly Garni (Quiet Riot band members).   So when it got ugly you didn't wanna run off quality members like that.  so the mods cleaned it up.

All of us nuts on the Randy Rhoads message boards have been chomping at the bit for any new information on this box set.   Wizard have you seen the footage or heard the CD's?   Any information you can let us in on is more than appreciated.   The Short trailer (still waiting on the long trailer) has been broken down as to WHAT COLOR SOCKS OZZY HAS ON AS TO VARIFY WHERE SOME OF THE FOOTAGE MAY HAVE BEEN SHOT.    I shit you not.  Some thought that the Diary footage could have been from Salt Lake City but that was proved wrong cause Ozzy did NOT wear WHITE socks in Salt Lake as he is wearing in the video.

Ozzy's website originally posted this box set and listed Diary as having EXTENDED VERSIONS of YOU CAN'T KILL ROCK AND ROLL & TONIGHT. Also DIARY OF A MADMAN 2010 REMIX.  They then took that down and replaced it with what we have now that is NO bunus tracks for Dairy.  Any insight into why they decided not to release those bonus tracks??
