I think the kid did pretty good. The keyboard part was a bit cheesy but other than that I think they did good for kids.
3  Forum / General Discussions / regarding my post no Ozzfest this year. on: February 12, 2009, 12:35:53 pm
I noticed some people say they wanted confirmation or an official source. I got my info on the home page of Ozzfest.com. It is in the article-Ozzy in the studio. In the last 10 years I have never been one to post rumors. I saw too many people get nailed for doing that. I only post info I get from this sight.

It said in the article-"OZZY has decided to put his namesake festival OZZFEST on hold this year." That sounds like no tour at all. I sure hope I am wrong.

I read on the home page Ozzy is in the studio and doesn't want to tour until the album is finished. I will paste the article on this post.  I haven't missed an Ozzfest in 10 years. I even flew to Dallas this last year. Not sure which show I am going to now.

OZZY OSBOURNE is currently in the studio in Los Angeles co-producing his 10th studio album with Kevin Churko.  The new CD is the rock & roll legend's follow-up to 2007's Black Rain which debuted in the Top Ten on the album charts in 11 countries and spawned OZZY's first ever #1 active rock track, "I Don't Wanna Stop" (which also sat atop the Heritage Rock chart for more than 20 weeks).  The two-time Grammy Award winner has decided that he will not be touring until he has a new album in-stores (currently projected to be Thanksgiving 2009).  Thus, OZZY has decided to put his namesake festival OZZFEST on hold this year.  In the meantime, if you need an OZZY fix you can watch him with Sharon, Kelly and Jack on the "first family of rock's" return to television.  THE OSBOURNES:  RELOADED is set to launch this spring on Fox TV .  Stay tuned for more information THE OSBOURNES: RELOADED and the new OZZY OSBOURNE album.

14  Forum / General Discussions / Just got back from Dallas on: August 11, 2008, 11:21:40 am
I just got home last night from Ozzfest. The whole trip was a blast. We got into Dallas Friday night and got slapped with some crazy humidity. We  found out we couldn't rent the Shelby Mustang we were wanting because noneof us had a 3rd ID. We did get a Lincoln MKZ which was really nice.
We went to our Hotel whiuch just blew us away. It is probably the nicest place I have ever stayed. When then went over to a steakhouse that was just down the street. We weren't sure if we were dressed good enough because of how fancy it was but we got in all right. The had the best steak I have EVER eaten in my life. After dinner we walked around checking our Frisco which was ritzy. We decided it was time to head back to the room and grab some beer on the way back. OOOPS! They don't sell beer after midnight. Between midnight and10am alcohol sales. So it was off to bed so we could be well rested for Ozzfest.
On Saturday we all rolled out of bed around 830. We got down to the stadium and were so used to tailgating. We were lost so we left the parking lot and went to a little BBQ across the street and we drank our breakfast there.
Ozzfest was awesome. The vip area was very nice, free soda, water, popsicles, hot dogs and chips. One thing I did notice was security was very relaxed. We had 2nd row really close to the stage and we never once had to show our stub to the staff person on top of the stairs. If you tried to sneak to the floor though they were on you.
Everyone was awesome. Drowningpool put on a great show even though their half opf their speakers died for awhile. The Dimebag tribute was awesome.  It was cool  seeing some of the heavy metal legends up there. Ozzy put on an excellent show. It seemed like he put on a pretty long set. Zakks guitar solo was awesome as always. After Ozzy they had a cool fireworks display. Then it was time for the allmighty Metallica. They put on their best performance I have seen. This was my 8th time so I was no rookie. They played for just a little over 2 hours and it was all old stuff. They played one brand new song off the new cd coming out, Enter Sandman, Sad but True, and Nothing Else Matters. Besides those songs everything else was older. We hung out after the show and let people file out. There was a guy passed out about 5 rows back with a shirt on that said " I Got Lit" Security thought that was the funniest thing in the world so they were all taking pics of him before they woke him up.
On Sunday we found us an awesome little mexican restaurant. We all had margaritas with lunch which was pretty good. We then went and toured Dallas a little. It was a pretty city. We decided it was time to go check out Vinnie Pauls Clubhouse. We walked in and there was pics Dimebag and Vinnie with a bunch of other rock legends from ZZ Top to Dave Williams from Drowning Pool.I got a chill when I saw a pic of Dimebag and Dave Williams. They also had one of Dimebags guitars and I believe his motorcycle in the entry way. Inside on the back wall there were platinum cds from allmy favorite bands. Disturbed, Static-x, Pantera,Godsmack. It was amazing to see all that in a strip club. I was more interested in that stuff than the girls.
On our flight home 2 of us ended up flying first class. It was so nice and comfortable in those seats. We even got little warm wash clothes to wipe the salt off our hands after the nuts. We got fresh baked cookies off of straight out of the oven.
The whole trip was a blast and now I owe my wife big.
I will get pics up as soon as I get them in.
