Of the bands listed on the Vote Fait no More and Alice in Chains are both bands I have not seen so it would be ok, but I would expext the Vote to include some legitamate headliners/metal bands.  I say AC/DC

You guys had it coming. THANKS ALOT FOR LETTING US DOWN!!!! I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE PISSED OFF!!!!

So Ozzy being an artist from the UK has no right to tour Europe and play the festivals over there? He's  fucked you over to play concerts where he is from? It definitely sucks that there is not an Ozzfest this summer but he never plays Europe in the summer so has he been fucking those fans over all these years? He'll be back for Ozzfest 2012 and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy an Ozzfest then. Ozzy did just do an entire US tour so everyone had the chance to see him this last year on his Scream tour.
It just does not make sence that he tells us that the reason for not doing OZZFEST is because he did a different tour.  Why wouldn't he have skipped the regular tour and do the OZZFEST.  OZZFEST is the bigger badder tour.  Bring OZZFEST to Europe and make it a world tour... his only tour should be OZZFEST!  I would go to an OZZFEST any time of the year and go miles and miles away because it is BADASS and I get to see a bunch of bands.  Every year I brought a busload of people hundreds of miles to see this fest and experience this greatness. But his regular tour often doesn't come close enough and be a big enough event to me to be worth my while. Playing an OZZFEST makes it an experience that people love to go to for so many reasons and to me it seams like the ones in charge are not thinking of the opportunity they have to make OZZFEST outlive OZZY and carry on his name forever! He started something special that was a ritual for thousands of people at each venue and that ritual was OZZY and his fest!  It brought so many people together to celebrate all that is metal! It was like Christmas for some... like church for others and OZZY was our pastor! Ozzy once said he hasn't made his "Sgt. Pepper" album... but he created a tour greater than any band has ever created and letting it die is wrong! Anytime OZZY hits the stage ANYWHERE it should be an OZZFEST and it should have been the longest running world tour with a new line-up each year, with enough regular breaks to keep him happy and enough dates to keep the fans happy and coming back for more! One year I cried for Ozzy and his wife real tears as I prayed for her recovery from cancer along with thousands of other fans at OZZFEST in Alpine Valley.  I felt like we were all members of his family and wanted nothing more than for his family to get through it and really felt that we all helped him by being there that day.  This was a real moment for so many people and we all loved Ozzy for coming out to play for us as his wife was kicking cancers ass and I really thought NOTHING would ever stop OZZFETS!

Seems like the person posting this review wanted a devide and then found 1... words like 80's metal and the "real" metal... last I checked anything with the word metal in it is "real" metal, and we are all METAL FANS!  The open minded metal fans probably found that some bands they did not go there to see turned out pretty good, the close minded ones saw the devide and helped make a devide. And the Vince Niel thing is nothing new he always lets the audience sing like 50 percent of the lyrics while he just tosses in words on time to keep it going.  I can also tell you that the show never sold out so you were completely right about the lack of a real big crowd.  I think the lack of an extra draw from the younger crowd is because of the lack of a younger crowd favorite headlining the second stage. BLS is good but it's fan base is alot ogf Ozzzy fans and therefore BLS does not bring it's own draw to the show.  I am looking forward to Chicago
8  Forum / General Discussions / Re: Does your kids say that "Ozzfest " is for old people (Coments welcomed) on: August 14, 2010, 02:11:55 am
The employees at the place I work say that Ozzfest is for old people... or they only like a few bands.  Then foor every one of them I hear someone say they only want to see the 3 headliners.  I love the mix of generations at Ozzfest!  My 14 your old son, like myself @ 35, likes all the bands to different degrees.

Do I need to get special parking if I am coming with a bus or is there general parking for busses?  All 30 people on the bus have an all in ticket. I am going to Tinley

No guarantee there will be a next year....Sharon said in Rolling Stone that the reason they only booked 6 US shows this year was to check out the feasibility of doing OzzFest. There hasn't been a full-on tour since 2007.

There will absolutely be an Ozzfest 2011.

13  Forum / General Discussions / Re: Whats The Best Band You've Ever Seen Live? on: July 29, 2010, 09:08:26 pm
Hard to SAY "best"

AC/DC like 2000
Motley Crue 1989
Judas Priest at Ozzfest
Black Sabbath the same Year
Pantara's last show in Chicago
Slayer at the same Show
Tom Petty 1996

I've seen 1000's of bands live and these 7 live performances stand head and shoulders above most of the rest

15  Forum / General Discussions / Re: Exodus and California Wildabeast on: July 22, 2010, 09:48:32 pm
California Wildbeast has to play as the 13th act for California because they would have 12 bands and not 13 because Exodus is technicly filling in for Kingdom of Sorrow so people at the show get their money worth.  Then that leaves who is the 13th band for everyone else, NOT California Wildbeast hmmmm
