Start your computer and go into the BIOS (Setup) ... Usually it's DEL to enter setup when you turn it on.
Once in BIOS make sure your system boot order is set to have BOOT FROM CDROM before HARD DISK. Save changes and exit. Reboot.
Insert the Windows disc. On bootup it will say something like "Press any key to boot from CD rom" ... you want to do this. hit a key.
Once in there (may take a minute) choose to install windows (don't worry.. we aren't going to install over everything!)
After you choose that option it will notice that you have Windows already installed. It will ask if you want to install a fresh copy or try to repair an existing copy of window.. Choose the repair option.
Try that and see if it works.
YAY Someone that knows what they are talking about!!
