1  Forum / General Discussions / Re: My ideal Ozzfest 2011 on: April 26, 2011, 04:40:17 am
Umm taking into account the bands that will be available to play it who aren't broken up or dead or already on another festival that clashes or won't be in the middle of making an album at the time.  Also if Ozzfest is gonna be an asshole again and either cancel the tour this year or fuck up by only doing one city or one region of the country instead of a full-on nationwide tour then they might as well give way to Mayhem and Uproar Fests and shut it totally down permanently cuz it won't even matter if any of these lineups come true in that case.

Main Stage
1. Big Four!
2. Slipknot
3. DevilDriver
4. System of a Down
5. Lamb of God
6. Ill Nino!!!!!!!!!

2nd Stage
1. Children of Bodom
2. Dream Theater
3. Fear Factory
4. Chimaira
5. Five Finger Death Punch
6. Shadows Fall
7. God Forbid
8. Throwdown!!!!!
9. Demon Hunter
10. Testament
11. Cavalera Conspiracy
12. Living Sacrifice
13. Soilwork

First Ozzy Fan, you're a cool dude!  Just thought I'd let you know, no sarcasm.

Besides all of that when they do announce the bands, soon or late matters not as much as who and the dates and locations of the fest, yeah there will be complainers who have warped opinions on good music, or good metal, or what is metal, etc. but when a supposed sellout band or an underground band we have never heard of comes into play you're still gonna be there watching and listening and in the pits unless you're too scared or pussy with the rest of us who give a shit not and are just there to support the metal scene we all love if we're true metalheads and wanna keep metal going regardless of the trends, fads, or overly popular behemoths of the metal world. Who by the way probably are only making those who diss them jealous to begin with because they aren't selling the records or aren't as loved by their 20 fans or who couldn't figure out a formula of heavy and accessible that would win them respect and acclaim so they just whine and act like they are the real metal or whatever.  aka Metallica, Godsmack, Disturbed, Slipknot, Sevendust, Korn haters.  Same goes the other way though.  Some of the best metal out there is still on the up and coming so just because you haven't heard of a band or don't like their style or subgenre doesn't mean they won't destroy a place once they hit a stage so get your asses up there shut up and mosh with me bitches!

Lol had no idea this was going to be so heated towards each other instead of getting a discussion about the possibility of announcement of bands at this year's ozzfest.  Can and will be patient but just curious as to why the other fests have all these bands and lineups announced already and Ozzfest is so late.  Did not know that it was usually in April when they announce which is a bummer actually because summer starts the very next month so little time to get tickets or money saved up for them but no complaints on my end about that I go to 20 or 30 metal shows a year so even if they don't have ozzfest in any particular year I'm good.  That being said if the lineup does somehow suck, and usually even at Ozzfest around half of it or more does, I will still attend even if there is only ONE good band I like to see because it's still about the experience and it's still about Ozzy (although I'd go still even without him or Black Sabbath there).  It's also nice to see other people's opinions on the subject and discuss it with them especially those who feel the same way but I guess it's too much to ask for others with no lives to butt out and not put their cynical, negative, and bashing 2 cents in.  Oh well since you're here how about helping instead of hindering and giving us info if you have any or reading the forum and keeping your unhelpful posts to yourselves unless this is the only way of getting off you have with no wife or girlfriend to help you nut in the usual 2 minutes or less.

Amen!  Only other one to wait on is Summer Slaughter but Ozzfest does need to hurry up cuz all the others are done with everything pretty much.  By the way Sharon does all the band signing and booking for Ozzfest since it was her idea anyways.

I know it's still a couple of months away from Summer and Ozzfest is supposedly right around the corner form announcing its tour dates and bands, and that this year's is supposedly going to be bigger and better than ever.  But isn't it taking way too long to getting anything out about who might even be rumored or even letting us know what date it will be that the bands and dates will be announced or when tickets will go on sale?  Some bands have been rumored and some have been ruled out due to Mayhem and other tours and festivals, but Mayhem will kick the Hell out of Ozzfest if they don't come with it with the bands and if they don't hurry up soon on their announcements.  Come on Sharon hurry the Hell up!

11  Forum / Other Upcoming Events / Who do you want to see at ozzfest 2010? on: February 04, 2010, 03:36:11 am
Well if Metallica are sellouts then what does that make Ozzy?  Anyways back to the real question who I'd like to see at Ozzfest this year who's not already on Mayhem (by the way by far the best lineup I've seen on any festival stage in the past 5 years)  DevilDriver, Slipknot, System of a Down reunion, Disturbed, Killswitch, Pantera reunion for a real Dimebag tribute only Phil can really do the vocals for those songs and only Zakk Wylde can pull off the riffs/solos of the Almighty late/great Dimebag R.I.P. brother.  that's just mainstage Ozzy of course as well.  Godsmack, Fear Factory, Unearth, Machine Fuckin' Head, Mudvayne, As I Lay Dying if they don't get added to mayhem later and same with Ill Nino.  sort of a who's who of past Ozzfests or Ozzfest All-Star Lineup.
