What really is holding people off is
VENUE PRICING. Remember in the day when you pulled up at a concert and people had kegs on wheels, and were handing out dixie cups? When the party was in the line on the way in? When you could buy a beer at the venue and five more and still have money for a concert t-shirt?
DAMN. I calculate in a single day at over 100 degrees, just water for me and the two teen boys I'm caring for will cost me a hundred fucking dollars. NEVER MIND a beer.
Every time I tried to convince someone to come, that is EXACTLY what they said.
"Yea, the ticket is $10, but then beer is $40, and food is $50, and gas is $80, so after it's all done you've invested like $200 in going to the concert and you're in the back where you can't see the musicians for shit anyways."
