The Haunted are not Hardcore, they are thrash/melodic death. Some members were from At the Gates. Very immature on your part to call The Haunted hardcore, do some homework.

1997 1998 1999 2000 2004 2005 2006 2007 All in Pittsburgh at Star Lake Ampitheater/Post Gazette Pavillion. Would have went in '01, '02 and '03 had the lineups not totally sucked. Couldn't make it to the destination Ozzfest in 1996, looks like I won't make it to 2008 either if it is in Dallas. Oh well. At Ozzfest 1998 i puked right in front of Dave Mustaine in the pit. He looked right at me while they were playing Holy Wars, too much beer and too much moshing. Got kicked out but was back in 5 minutes, my fav. memory, along with my buddy trying to take a shit in the bathrooms that were flooded by an overflowing toilet and peolple just pissing on the floors, total chaos. Hope the fest comes to Pittsburgh this year, always a great time, and loads of yaybos!!!!

I agree that Soilwork and In Flames have changed their sound, however Hypocrisy changed their sound somewhat to be included in this category. Their new stuff is way more melodic than earlier stuff. Scar Symmetry and Deadlock are two great new bands that have taken this genre to a new level. You could say more and more traditional death bands are adding the melodic components to expand their sound. Behemoth for example, crush, but have added that extra melody to move into the next phase of their career. Aborted, you can hear hints of melody in their newer work. I applaud these bands for adding the melody while keeping with their traditional brutal sound.
