The only thing that pisses me off is their mainstream following who know nothing of their previous cds. I'm still siked as fuck about this show, In Flames, Gojira, and 36cf are all pretty fuckin godly in my book.

Forum / General Discussions / Why does everyone hate hardcore dancing

Deathblooms said: newyork4311 said: Im into many different music scenes and I don't see why people hate hardcore dancing so much. People aren't purposely hitting each other teir letting out their aggression. You hardcore dance to hardcore, push mosh to metal, and skank, circle pit to punk/ska. If someone were to hardcore dance to behemoth you have the right to push mosh and knock them on their ass. But if you go see a band like Unearth and people are hardcore dancing to the breakdown, stop getting pissed and have respect. All these different variations of moshing looks the same to people who haven't seen it before anyway.
Around here at least hardcore dancing isn't about releasing aggression. It is about hitting/kicking people on purpose and getting people involved that don't want to be involved. Hardcore kids are faggots that go to shows with their "crew" and don't give a fuck about anybody else. Metal is always mutual and people help each other in the pit. completely agreed

Ditto. I didn't think people still cared about kids dancing at shows anymore, must just be my area that grew up yea i go 2 these. So what i go to these shows and have a good time, I know i probally wont be able to mosh do to the number of faggots in the pit. But I go, i headband, i stage dive, meet the bands, that sign is basically for when i see hxc fags at metal shows. They can have BMTH, but the JFAC show, ppl gona get put on their asses

Washington D.C. metallers DARKEST HOUR will headline the Thrash and Burn Tour beginning on July 29. Support on the trek will come from PARKWAY DRIVE, MISERY SIGNALS, WINDS OF PLAGUE, STICK TO YOUR GUNS, ARSIS, LIGHT THIS CITY, ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS and AFTER THE BURIAL. Special guests scheduled to appear on select dates include SUICIDE SILENCE, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, EMMURE, VEIL OF MAYA, BROTHER VON DOOM and more.
The tour will showcase a diverse mix of underground metal bands who draw from decades of thrash, punk and hardcore to mold their 21st century sounds. DARKEST HOUR, fresh off its tour with AT THE GATES, has been chosen to headline this tour.
Thrash and Burn aims to give the underground metal fan a relatively inexpensive way to see two handfuls of the most relevant bands today in an indoor setting. Tour organizer Mike Mowery comments, "We aim to provide an inexpensive day of metal, thrash and punk. We've chosen a number of bands who complement each other very well, yet keeping it diverse enough so there's something for the shredders, the moshers and the scenesters alike."
DARKEST HOUR guitarist Mike Schleibaum adds, "DARKEST HOUR is excited to headline this year's inaugural Thrash and Burn tour. Touring with younger bands has always been something we have been about. It's a good way to keep metal evolving and progressing. We are stoked to be able to tour along with good friends MISERY SIGNALS, PARKWAY DRIVE, and LIGHT THIS CITY and of course we look forward to hanging and partying with all the new friends we are soon to make! We want to send 'Deliver Us' out with a party so see everyone in the pit!"
Thrash and Burn tour organizer Ash Avildsen had this to say, "We wanted to make a tour that could give people a chance to see young bands in the current underground that have made their own voice by drawing from a range of influences in heavy music throughout the past twenty years. I have always felt that DARKEST HOUR are one of the few bands that have truly been able to capture the timeless power of thrash and Gothenburg metal with the modern energy and passion of punk and hardcore. With that being said, we couldn't have asked for a better headliner to launch the Thrash and Burn Tour in 2008. And If there is one thing that can bring the worlds of metal, punk and hardcore together, it's a circle pit. Washington D.C.'s DARKEST HOUR will show you how this summer."

Forum / General Discussions / Divine Heresy releases lead singer!
|
on: April 29, 2008, 07:30:18 pm

According to HeadbangersBlog.com, singer Tommy Cummings has been fired from DIVINE HERESY. The move came after Cummings flew into a rage during a show on April 26 in Poughkeepsie, New York when the other players wouldn? ?t let him end the set early. "He gave us 10 different reasons why we should stop ?? 'My microphone doesn't work, I got diarrhea, the monitors are f? ?ked up' ?? whatever he could think of," DIVINE HERESY guitarist Dino Cazares told HeadbangersBlog.com. "And we decided that? ?s not fair to the fans. We wanted to give them a full show." After the onstage confrontation, DIVINE HERESY canceled its April 27 show at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival and returned to California. Currently, the band has auditions scheduled with four other singers and will definitely be onboard when their tour with ARCH ENEMY and FIREWIND launches on May 9 in Philadelphia. Thats a shame, i was rlly looking forward to their show next sat. Fuck it its still gona b epik as shit, who knows they can always find better
