1  Forum / General Discussions / Ozzfest 2010: a fall arena tour? on: March 19, 2010, 03:08:09 pm
I would hate to think there would be another year with out a full Ozzfest tour. I am beginning to think Sharon may just make it a fall arena tour to deal with Ozzy's allergies. Seems to be getting more likely with no info yet released.

what hardcore metal band has been #1? (slipknot, metallica, disturbed) i guess none of the so called great metal bands aren't good enough to sale enough records to be #1. keep on hating. it just shows how successful lamb of god has become.

Success does not mean quality. I assume you're a Taylor Swift fan too then ehh?
liking taylor swift would be the equivalent of liking some pansy band like muse. sure you wouldn't know anything about listening to a pansy band like that being a metal elitist. success does equal quality in this case despite all the true metalheads no longer liking them because they now have success.

LAMB OF GOD's new album, "Wrath", sold around 68,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 2 (behind TAYLOR SWIFT's "Fearless") on The Billboard 200 chart.

LAMB OF GOD's last album, "Sacrament", sold around 63,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in August 2006 to land at No. 8. This represented almost double the amount of records sold by its predecessor, "Ashes of the Wake", which registered a first-week tally of 35,000 in September 2004.

"Wrath" was released in North America on February 24 via Epic. The CD was issued in other territories through Roadrunner Records.

"Wrath" was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

Roadrunner Records has uploaded a nine-minute video clip (see below) featuring footage of guitarist Mark Morton and vocalist Randy Blythe of LAMB OF GOD discussing all the songs on "Wrath".

The "Wrath" album was released in four configurations: an LP, a CD, a deluxe-edition CD with bonus disc HuhHuh?? which contains isolated recording parts HuhHuh?? as well as a super-deluxe version featuring a limited-edition box containing an LP, deluxe-edition CD and USB drive containing two exclusive bonus tracks.

The LAMB OF GOD North American "Wrath" tour kicks off April 2 in Phoenix, Arizona with AS I LAY DYING, CHILDREN OF BODOM, GOD FORBID, and MUNICIPAL WASTE supporting.

12  Forum / General Discussions / 'PaganFest America: Part II': First Dates Announced - Jan. 14, 2009 on: January 14, 2009, 10:04:23 pm
"PaganFest America: Part II" will include Finland's folk freaks KORPIKLAANI as the headliners, Switzerland's ELUVEITIE, Ireland's PRIMORDIAL, Finland's MOONSORROW, Canada's BLACKGUARD (formerly known as PROFUGUS MORTIS) and straight off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, New Jersey's crazy pirate metal drunks SWASHBUCKLE as the opening party-starters throughout the tour.

The first confirmed dates are as follows:

Apr. 28 - The Opera House - Toronto, ON
Apr. 29 - Medley HuhHuh?? Montreal, QC
Apr. 30 - Imperial - Quebec City, QC
May 01 - The Palladium - Worcester, MA
May 04 - Irving Plaza - New York, NY
May 07 - Chicago Powerfest - Chicago, IL
May 08 - The Lab - St. Paul, MN

Last year's PaganFest USA was a huge success, and according to Rock The Nation manager and KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono, "the hype is not over just yet! Like all the things I do in my life, whether I listen to what people say and what people want, there's no way we would not top this year's PaganFest USA with the next one, so we thought of the ultimate line up and went for it! This will be THE event to be at for 2009, that's for certain."
