1  Forum / General Discussions / Re: Roger Waters...The Wall on: July 05, 2012, 11:03:39 am
Sorry Mini, I havd a busy couple of days but Roger Waters performed the wall near flawless!!!  I was very impressed.  The effects were fantastic, and of course the music is still great.  Pretty much as soon as you entered the building the smell of "herbal substances" was in the air.  I drank enough to feel good but not as much to forget everything.  Pink Floyd fans are really cool too.  I had two people buy me drinks cause I came to the show alone and was just being social.  It was really awesome seeing the wall being built during the show then of course the climatic finale of knocking it back down during the Trial.  I love that song.   I'm glad he did the movie version of Empty Spaces.  Another song I love especially the movie sequence.  During the intermission he had a tribute on the wall.  All the pictures of fallen soldiers.  Everything was just so well done.  Roger's a very politcal guy still.  He gets his point across.  I don't know if it was the effects or maybe a smudge on my camera lens but my pictures didn't turn out so well.  I'll try to upload a few later.  I have to run.  To sum everything up, I'm just so honored to have been able to experience what could be a once in a lifetime show.  If anyone has the chance to go, GO!!!!!!

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon in it's entirety.  Let's keep the Floyd going.  I have to get fired up for The Wall.

I'm with mini on this one.  SOAD lost it after Toxicity.  I still like Serj's vocal ability but the flow of the songs anymore are just no where near what they used to be.

Will do Mini!  It's not until August 23rd.  My review of The Wall will come sooner.  10 more days!!!

he's probably busy on the new ozzy.com site.  saw something about that being new and updated so
I went over there and its just about the same except they are running a contest to see who can find the ozzy photos they've selected across the site and you can win stuff from their merch link.

either that or he has been taken over by the golf spammers or gotten a job working from home!

I'm still here.

How can you say the new Ozzy site is the same? The previous site was all SCREAM cd art. The new site shows tons of Ozzy images from his entire career. Each page has images specific to the time period of the album or section you are looking at. You disagree?

to be fair, I went back earlier today to give it another look.  I even logged in and checked out the forum.  maybe it's my computer's settings but I couldn't see who was posting on the threads.  the new stuff must have been under construction a bit when I was there last.  the photos are cool - but the fan photo gallery captions don't give much information on who/when, etc.  and whose raccoon is that?

Sounds like you need an upgrade to your flash player or adobe.  One of those damn things.  Try to look into that and then you can see the new site without problems.

Who is going to Lollapalooza to see Sabbath this summer?

If it were the original four I would be going but I'll wait until they have a full tour next year with or without Bill.

Glad I saw them when I did!  They have been playing a solid 24 song set.  That's not easy especially for their age.

That is a pretty good summer set.  The other shows I've hit already were Gigantour, Van Halen, Shinedown, and Zombie/Megadeth.  I think I've done pretty well this year.

oh...boy Matty you will enjoy this on...one for the ages buddy...

we just seen the Scorpions this past weekend and that was a GREAT! show, but The Wall is still by far the best show of the summer so far,for me....

so far..The Wall,Van Halen and the Scorpions..got 10 more sets of tickets on sitting on my dresser...

from now untill mid October....goin to be a great summer....

I only have two left on the docket but I'm probably going to add Alic Cooper to the list.  But right now I'm left with:

July 3rd - The Wall
August 23rd Dethklok, Lamb of God, Gojira.

If I go to see Cooper it will be July 15th.  tickets are only $25 so I'll most likely go.

Jesus Frankenstein - Rob Zombie  Kind of a hokie song but after you listen to it a couple times it's catchy.

Well now that they said 2013 tour I can go to other shows and save for Sabbath next year  Grin  I'm thinking about hitting Alice Cooper.  Haven't seen him yet.  Might even see Rush too while I'm at it.
