Shoreline is great for the weather, but I like Marysville's amph a lot better. Smiley

At any case, I hear San Antonio is great for Ozzfest.
4  Forum / General Discussions / What do you listen to in the ozzfest parking lot? on: May 28, 2007, 10:04:46 pm
We always psyche ourselves up for our favorite bands, if we arrive early enough. Smiley And there's always plenty of Sabbath.
5  Forum / General Discussions / Piercings? on: May 28, 2007, 09:56:53 pm
Just my septum (not the mask). A modest 14g. Smiley

Long ago, I had my ears pierced, but they got infected and I removed them. How lame. I got my septum done as a solidarity thing when my best friend was moving, and she pierced it for me (luckily, it did NOT get infected).  I was too young at the time to get it done at a shop, and it was easy to hide for occasions when I shouldn't have a piercing (jobs, etc). Luckily, my life's taken a fortunate turn and I rarely need to stow it away anymore. Smiley

I'll have to agree on that.

Heheh, that's pretty much dead on.

And while we're at it, what ever happened to just the simple artist, title, record, label in white text in the corner of the screen? Now on pretty much any music show, you've got overly graphic animated ads and marquees and take up half the screen, and then they remind you what you're watching by shoving it smack dab on top of the video you are /trying/ to enjoy, like a fucking pop up ad.

It's possibly one of my biggest peeves when it comes to MTV.

I miss cable. Smiley

I was excited about the relaunch of HB but as with pretty much everything on MTV, it degraded into a formless gel. On occasion (as a few have mentioned before) it has it's moments and will lay something genuinely unique and quality, but it's certainly lost it's mystique from its hayday. A lot of great things have /emerged/ from MTV, unfortunately they seem to grow cancerous masses and die when they stay.
11  Forum / General Discussions / Rob Zombie Halloween Remake on: May 28, 2007, 09:06:43 pm
I didn't really like ether of his major movies (story mostly), but I still think he's an interesting film maker and I'm interested in seeing what he'd do with Halloween. Smiley
12  Forum / General Discussions / 10 years for slipknot and only 3 albums on: May 28, 2007, 09:04:33 pm
It's apparent that a lot of people here don't like Slipknot, but I love them. And I don't mind defending my opinion. Smiley

It's my personal opinion that their four albums (m.f.k.r. counts in my book, anyway) are solid, and agree with previous statements and examples that longevity doesn't mean you need a billion albums. They're successful (i will not fault bands who succeed) and have nine people without breaking up, which I admire. As far as I know, they're still together (after a scare insinuating they /were/ going to break up... that's why Voliminal was created).

In short, it's quality not quantity that counts in my book, and in my book Slipknot fits the bill. Smiley

I'm ready for my abuse. ::laugh
13  Forum / General Discussions / What is your favorite movie of all time? on: May 28, 2007, 08:34:50 pm
Green Mile is fantastic Smiley

My favorites are GATTACA, Death to Smoochy, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Pi... so many more. I spend too much time watching TV. Wink

Love them Smiley Saw them on a Jager Tour with Chimaira and Slipknot and it was great! My fella (a bigger FF fan than I) showed me how to do the hand signs.

Oh man, PS3 is TERRIBLE as a system Sad

360 or Wii Smiley For the price, Wii's a formidable system, and quite innovative (Come on! Manhunt 2 on Wii!). 360 is just fun (Gears of War!)
