‘TRUST ME, I’M DR. OZZY:

ADVICE FROM ROCK'S ULTIMATE SURVIVOR’

BY OZZY OSBOURNE

WITH CHRIS AYRES

SET FOR OCTOBER 11 RELEASE

BOOK IS FOLLOW-UP TO OZZY’S #2 NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER

In his new book TRUST ME, I'M DR. OZZY, rock legend OZZY OSBOURNE embraces his status as a medical marvel to tell incredible stories, offer advice as only he can and shed light on his seemingly superhuman ability to stay alive. Due out October 11, TRUST ME, I’M DR. OZZY: ADVICE FROM ROCK'S ULTIMATE SURVIVOR by Ozzy Osbourne With Chris Ayres (Grand Central Publishing) is the follow-up to 2010’s New York Times bestselling memoir I AM OZZY, which landed at #2 and #3 on the New York Times and Wall Street Journal non-fiction charts, respectively.

Based on his ongoing, Rolling Stone (U.S.) Sunday Times (U.K.) columns, TRUST ME, I'M DR. OZZY will include some of the best material from the columns, as well as survival stories not found in OZZY’s memoir, his answers to celebrities’ medical questions, charts and sidebars, and much more. The best way to describe this book is 100% OZZY--part memoir and part advice column, delivered with OZZY’s famous wit and humor. It’s comprised of reader-submitted medical and lifestyle questions, OZZY digs deep into his murky past, searching for pearls of “wisdom.”

The genesis of the DR. OZZY columns began last year, when OZZY decided to have his DNA mapped to determine if science could perhaps explain how he survived his nearly four decade avalanche of drugs and alcohol. The “Full Ozzy Genome” contained variants that scientists had never before encountered. In fact, the findings made headlines around the world and even led to OZZY hosting a prestigious TED conference.

I AM OZZY marked OZZY’s first foray into the book world; it tells his unbelievable story, for the first time, in his own hilarious, witty, and inimitable voice. In the end it was love that saved him: the love of his wife Sharon and kids Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.

Here’s some critical feedback on I AM OZZY:

“I Am Ozzy is a ‘true Hollywood story’ in book format--a ride through rock 'n' roll history with a driver saturated in controlled substances. It's Ozzy Osborne's stumbling, rambling, decadent-beyond-recognition memoir, as over-the-top as the author himself. The book would be heartbreaking if it weren't so hilarious…This book is gritty and raunchy. But while Osbourne's memoir is sometimes painful to read, it's also sidesplittingly funny.” --Associated Press, January 2010

“Osbourne’s first-person slang-and-expletive-driven style comes off like he’s casually relating his story while knocking back pints at the pub… an autobiography as toxic and addictive as any drug its author has ever ingested.” --Kirkus Review, December 2009

“I Am Ozzy reads like every great rock ‘n’ roll bio ever written…Ozzy’s memoirs come across as a modern-day fairy tale, albeit one in which the fairies wear boots. Like a fairy tale, I Am Ozzy is unsubtly imbued with a disarming sense of wonder, not just as in, “I wonder how this guy is still alive,” but in the classic sense as well—“could such a life ever exist?” --Popmatters.com, December 2009

“…following Ozzy through several decades of highs and lows in this manner is exhilarating; the book is so well edited that when the story leaves off (at a point in 2009) the reader can hardly wait for what Ozzy does next. Rarely is a book about the rock ‘n' roll lifestyle this warm…”--Antimusic.com, February 2010

Did anyone check www.TonyIommi.com? This is why if you don't see these things on an official site first, be warned.

Black Sabbath Reunion Speculation
16th August 2011

Black Sabbath Reunion

I'm saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Black Sabbath reunion.

At the time I was supporting the Home of Metal exhibition and was merely speculating, shooting the breeze, on something all of us get asked constantly, "Are you getting back together?"

Thanks to the internet it's gone round the world as some sort of "official" statement on my part, absolute nonsense.  I hope he's enjoyed his moment of glory, he won't have another at my expense.

to my old pals, Ozzy, Geezer and Bill, sorry about this, I should have known better.

All the best, Tony

do we have to buy tix in advance?

If you want to make sure you get into the movie, having them in advance is strongly suggested. There is only the one showing on the 24th so you won't be able to catch the movie later that night if it is sold out like you could with another movie.
