Nah there's never a shortage of great bands out there

I was waiting for one of these  "quit complaining you little bitches" type of post.  Well some of us don't go to just one ozzfest show.  I usually go to 3 of them which takes a bit more planning.   If I was planning on just going to one show, I wouldn't really care.  And as far as the whole ozzfest thing being a priveledge and not a right and all that,  this isn't a tour that they're doing out of the kindness of their hearts as a favor to the fans.  They are making huge amounts of dollars on this, so I don't feel the need to bow at their feet for giving me a precious metal festival to go to.  But I do appreciate them giving us the free show last year so that was cool.  Even though the lineup suffered because of it, but it was a very cool gesture.  The point is, people should know tourdates at least 3 months in advance for a show like this.

Yeah I agree it is disgraceful that on a tour like this where people need advance notice to take off from work and in a lot of cases book hotels and generally try to plan for their summer, they leave you waiting till like 2 months before the tour starts.  They pulled this shit in 2006 when they waited till the end of may to put up info. It totally screwed me that year because it was too late for me to take the days off that I wanted to.  Looks like this year is gonna be like that too.  We all know it's not easy to book big tours and shows like this and there's probably some bands that they're waiting on confirmation and all that, but at least put some dam  tour dates up so people can make there plans for the summer and have some idea of know what's going on.   Look at rockstar mayhem tour.  4 months in advance and they had their full lineup up with tourdates and presale info.  They understand that people need advanced notice.    Ok end of rant  lol
289  Forum / General Discussions / Am I the only one that's kinda getting sick of waiting? on: April 20, 2008, 02:23:57 pm
I don't expect to see any info up for several weeks.  But I could be wrong.  I'm also having a hard time trying to make plans for the summer and I'm putting a vacation on hold until I see some dates up.  I may just say the hell with it and just make vacation plans and whatever happens happens.  Some times they just don't have their shit together or they take their sweet ass time to put info up which make things very difficult to plan ahead.  I'd settle for just tourdates.

Yeah I was hoping that rockstar mayhem thing would give ozzfest a kick in the ass to get some dates and info up.  I'm supposed to go away a couple of times during the summer and I feel like I have to put my summer plans on hold till I see some ozzfest dates up so I know what the fuck is going on.  I don't think it's asking too much to get at least a few months notice to a big show like this.  I remember a couple of years ago they waited till like 6 weeks before the tour started before putting up any info.  I couldn't even go to the show I wanted to go to because it was too late for me to put in for a day off.   But yeah I know we all gotta wait like every year  blah blah blah.  It would just be nice to be able to plan ahead a few months in advance

I couldn't imagine going to a 2 day festival.  They would have to really shorten the shows.  It takes me like 2 days to recover from just one ozzfest show. I couldn't imagine waking up the next day and going to another one!   lol   If I was still a teen maybe I could do it.  I think all that would do is divide up the fans.  Most people would not be able to afford 2 shows even with a package type of deal.  So it'd probably be half empty for one show and more crowded for another.

Crozzy said: Yup, but Dallas is where I go every year anyway.  So it wouldn't affect me.  I think it would suck for the rest of the country.

yes it would...tickets will be hard as shit to get, and expensive as shit too

I thinks we are going to get more than two dates.  The tour can only have a few years left as it is.  We need to enjoy what we are given.  fucking Ozzy has been touring non stop since last years fest, I'm sure he is ready for a break.  I predict the tour will be scaled back, but not back to only two cities.

yeah but ozzfest is not just about Ozzy anymore.  Doesn't matter how many dates ozzy can perform.  Look at 2006.  He only did 10 dates out of 30 and that didn't affect the fest.  From what they'd said in the past, ozzfest will go on long after ozzy is done performing.  I don't see how they'd scale it back to 2 dates anyways.  Unless they just got  tired and bored of making money

I got two GA tickets at about 10pm last night on here.   Took about an hour but finally it worked
295  Forum / General Discussions / Let it go already! on: June 13, 2007, 10:10:00 pm
Yeah that annoys the shit out of me.  When people tell others to stop whining when they have every damn right in the world to complain.  Some people have been going for years, and now they couldn't get tickets becuase of this one time "generous offer" which favors the freeloaders and first time ozzfest goers rather than the people that have spent a lot of money in past years on shows.  Ofcourse it's not gonna change anything to complain, but if people wanna rant about it, that's what a messageboard is for.  Easy for people that already have tickets to tell others to stop whining.  You can't compare this to getting tickets for other concerts, because other shows, if you log on when tickets go on sale, you're dam well gonna get a ticket, as opposed to this whole system they're doing with this

my heart goes out to anybody that couldn't get tickets because of this nonsense.  I feel lucky i was able to get any tickets.  I was out all day and night monday, then I go to check mail only to find out the redemption times have changed and tickets had been up for over 4 hours for the venue I wanted to go to!   There's always that one last curveball they throw at you every year.  This was more like a knuckleball or screwball  lol.   Nobody should have to dedicate an entire day or entire evening to pick up concert tickets.  I don't give a shit if it's free.  Next time let me pay and get my fuckin tickets like I normally would.  I've taken off from work for many a concert in my time, but this is the first time I actually had to take off from work just to GET tickets.
