They're basically only playing 1 new song.  The second leg they'll do a few more.  I was lucky I was able to snatch up one ticket for myself.  I had to get a 96 dollar ticket.  Cheap seats were gone.  I was supposed to get tickets for other people but that wasn't possible.  Oh well.  Just have to get in on the second leg. 

Soundgarden would be great.  I'm surprised I'm the only one that voted for them

You can always check on www.ioffer.com and use the search function.  There's probably people selling some of them.  People that recorded it from tv and made discs out of them.  That's where I go for bootlegs of tv series and all that. 

I wouldn't worry.  They will make it through the tour and also a second leg.  Kool and the gang is an interesting choice for an opener to say the least.  You'd be hardpressed to find any Van Halen fans out there that like Kool and the Gang.  On the last tour they had some Raggae band opening.  Not too many people went in till just before Van Halen. 
I did just pick up a ticket for one show.  Tickets went so fast on the presale, it wouldn't even let me select 2 tickets, so I'll just have to go solo.  Either way, this calls for a C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N! 

Iced Earth!  Oh sh!t I didn't see that, I may have to go back to new york for that.  Always liked them.  Saw them in Pittsburgh 02 with Barlow and Cleveland 04 with Ripper.

Yeah I did see them a few times myself.  Once with Ripper.  This is a new vocalist this time around.  I really haven't listened to the new stuff much.  I gotta give it a listen.  either way it'll be a killer show.  They do have a pittsburgh date for the Alter bar on 3/15. 

Jay, Slipknot as the headliner would definitley not be something to look forward to.  If Crazy is right about some of the rumors I think Slayer or even Korn should be in the top slot.

It's not that I dislike them, it's just that after being at a festival all day, it's kind of a challenge to make it to the end when the bands you like the least, are the ones playing last.  That tends to happen to me when I go to Mayhemfest.  I have to really fight the temptation of walking out early.  

I hear ya.  I've never done Mayhem before.  Last year I wanted to go but I waited for the Ozzfest announcement and all the good tickets to Mayhem were taken.  I'm not a fan of lawn tickets in the middle of summer lol.  I can take the second stage til it's done but then to do that and then go to lawn, not my idea of a good time.

I do it every year.  To me, it's basically ozzfest without ozzy so it's always a good time.  The cheapest seats usually aren't much more than a lawn ticket so I usually go for the seats.  And they're not over 100 dollars like a lot of Ozzfests were.   The kids still love the nu metal, so it seems like they'll always stick with a nu metal band to headline unfortunately.  But I generally like the lineups.

It's not just his prediction.  It's every source out there that's predicting it.  It does look like it's gonna happen. 

Yeah but if they cancel shows, everybody gets a refund.   No harm, no foul.  They made it through a huge tour in '07 so I don't see why they can't do it this time around.  They were incredible on the '07 tour!

That's all I know so far.  Waiting for all the spring and summer dates to pop up.  Definitely hitting up like 3 judas priest shows.  Other than that, it's too early to tell.  March or April is usually when the shit hits the fan and all these dates and news of tours start happening.  It's gonna be another insane spring/summer!

That would be awesome!  That would make a whole lot more sense than those ridiculous metallica/sabbath rumors.  I'd be able to kill 2 birds with one stone and spend much less money seeing both of those bands on the same bill.  I don't see why they'd do that indoor arena bullshit if it's a summer tour.  But either way I'm going to multiple shows if that happens. 

It'll be pretty crazy here again about 6 months from now when they make their usual announcement hinting that there might be an announcement at some point. 

That would be majorly awesome if Judas priest joined the tour.  May as well throw in Slayer and BLS while we're at it.  This would commemorate the big 8 year anniversary of the best ozzfest tour of all time.  2004
