I saw them for the first time ever last week as they were support for Metallica.
Never listened to them before
Their vocals reminded me of Venom but they looked like a bunch of old surfer dudes in their long shorts and sneakers

I couldn't believe all the people at Metallica (last year's tour in the US) who had no idea who LOG or Gojira were. They must go though life thinking music begins & ends with classic rock and are missing out on so much!

Other than describing their appearance, you didn't say whether you liked them or not.....appearances mean nothing in true metal.

Personally, its fine with me that Exodus is only playing one Ozzfest....even if they were playing all of the Ozzfests, I wouldn't get to see them anyway.

Instead I get to catch them twice on their headlining tour in September

In all my years of concert-going, I have yet to see Alice Cooper! Hope some more dates pop up in the near future.

@ highrise &  Nando: I don't have a lot of funds...just have different priorities than most people, and I'm lucky enough to have family in Orlando so I always a place to stay when I go to central FL for shows. Actually all these tickets add up to probably less than what I'd pay to travel to an Ozzfest.

@ puffpuffpass: if I ever had a diamond rolex, I'd sell it to buy concert tickets!

2nd Stage bands or opening bands on any tour are pretty much hit or miss...but I'm almost always there early enough to check them out since I like to get a spot up front. A few have been nearly unbearable...some have been amusing, but others have been impressive enough to become favorites. People who go only for the headliners are really missing out...

why not Cannibal Corpse? tickets are cheap and the lineup is great! idk about many other tours, since a lot of them don't stop in FL. You can keep checking your venues on Pollstar.com  and watch on blabbermouth.net & theprp.com for updates.

I'm hoping they hit FL in the fall. They came nowhere near us on their current tour.

At every festival with a shitload of bands, there's going to be some you like & some you don't (unless you're REALLY open-minded about your music). Festivals are meant to have a little something for everybody. I'm not saying Mayhem is better or worse than Ozzfest, all I know is that in the past two years Mayhem brought what Ozzfest didn' t... an awesome concert experience! I've already gotten my pit tickets for the two FL Mayhems but will still be going to Ozzfest if it comes here too.

Great tour! I saw it on June 26. I went there mostly for Goatwhore & Daath and Abysmal Dawn was great too. For our date it was combined with the Absu tour, so there were 7 bands all together.  I got a lot of photos & videos ::animatedsmile
