1  Forum / General Discussions / would a black diamond, alice cooper and dio concert ever work? on: October 02, 2008, 01:33:52 am
Man what a mental dump. Its been a long awhile since I last listened to
King Diamond, not Black Diamond... I meant King went i first wrote that.

I would never think of band Im in or if anything KISS on this tour.

FYI: not saying KISS is bad but wouldnt not fit in for this just thought
up of and NOT real package tour.

So with the recent "Masters of Metal" proving that bands can still scorch a mark into the newer music scene if a concert
with the 3 that I just mentioned would or could work.

If there was a even a forth added who could it be?
Lita Ford?
Joan Jett?

Well thats the absolut dogs bollocks right there. I had a room booked and $25  ($1 beer) to hit up happy hr at the Smiling Moose and now?!  O how thee metal gods pick and choose for whom to suffer be it by the bleeding tones of Limp Dickshit or not allowing great moments of metal such as a concert to not grace true metal (Steel) towns.

Theres not even 1 metal show happening on that day up there.

So Ive looked all over to label websites, band owned, fan owned and various metal news sites and there is still NO confirm word of a venue or even a show for Dying Fetus and others hitting the Pittsburgh area this Sept 3rd.

Any updates?

Im not sure yet. Here is the lowdown from PGP itself:

Lots open at 4pm

Tickets say 5:30pm

So not excatly sure when the gates open for the show though a
PGP spokeman (woman) said that theres a start time of 6pm

I see burgers, hot dogs, and maybe ckn of course with some
chips and such (beer from Wayneburg'a Beer Depot)

Weather is gonna be great, crowd should be nothing but amazing
so hopefully I'll be shown up by other tailgaters for this event.

Did not tailgate for Mayhem, drank like 3 beers each and carried 2 from the lots up to the entrance.
Left a post in the MM-PGP thread about tailgating

A crew of 2 will be there from WV this Sat and will cookout as soon as the lots open. I will be in the Burgesstown lot (thats the first lot at the very front on the left). Girls that will show boobs will eat for free, other than that, eats are a one time fee of a 1.00 until the 30mins of the doors open.

Hey, I paid for the food, gotta make some beer(inside the venue) money some how

13  Forum / General Discussions / Where in North America (US/Canada) is the best metal city? on: July 31, 2008, 12:22:58 am
The title says it all really.

So many places in North America
has brought on alot metal favorites for yrs along with many personal experiences making for great metal happenings.

I'm not really looking for list of genres but looking for the atmosphere, history, venues and yea of course bands.
14  Forum / Other Upcoming Events / Tailgate Party for Mayhem Fest Pittsburgh? on: July 29, 2008, 09:23:08 am
I think the best event up there this yr to tailgate be the Judas Priest/Testament/Motorhead/Heaven N Hell tour.

It would bring thoughts of Heavy Metal Parking Lot comes to mind.

BBQ
Beers
Babes

WATAIN will team up with WITHERED and BOOK OF BLACK EARTH.

Dying Fetus one month, this the next. Sucks they are spaced a whole month apart.
