I'll be at the show. BTW, if you need VIP passes, someone put em on ebay- currently 2 for $35- early entry, buffet, open bar, etc- normally $50 a pop. Not a bad deal IMO.

Mayhem's lineup isn't really impressing me with the exception of Slayer, so one of the shows that gets my money this summer may be this one. It should be fun, and it's supposedly NIN's farewell tour to boot. Here are the dates so far:

27 - Kansas City, MO - Starlight Theatre
29 - Chicago, IL - Charter One Pavilion (NIN only)
30 - Noblesville, IN - Verizon Wireless Music Center
31 - Clarkston, MI - DTE Energy Music Theatre

June 2009
2 - Toronto, Ontario - Molson Amphitheatre
3 - Darien Lake, NY - Darien Lake Amphitheatre
5 - Camden, NJ - Tweeter Center At The Waterfront
6 - Holmdel, NJ - PNC Bank Arts Center

7  Forum / General Discussions / AC/DC adds two more cities to tour..... on: October 02, 2008, 07:40:59 pm
AlpineValleyGirl said: they added a second date in chicago on sat nov 1st and we still cant afford to go.  after paying over $300 for cheech & chong tix the coffer is gettting a bit low.  ac/dc tix are $90 face value, plus fees, etc and then ticketmaster sells out to their own scalper (ticketsnow) immediately.  two tix there, third row, are going for $2000 apiece.  yes that is three zeroes.

we got to see ac/dc back in '86, first row face value at alpine.  nothing will ever top that for me.  but we're hoping to sneak our way in this year.

that cheech & chong gig will be the shit!

yes the ac/dc train is pulling in the cash for a lot

crazy to see people spending the big money to see them

last time i saw them it cost me like $15 bucks.

a lot of fans willl miss out on this tour

$300 for Cheech? they're round $40 in my city (KC) and easy to get

For what it's worth, negotiations are being made to add K.C. and St. Louis dates between January and February.

Why is he even in the fucking band?

he may be a douchebag, or even have douchebag-like qualities, but he's an amazing drummer.

What? He's a very, very average drummer, and his rather low endurance is one of the main reasons Metallica gigs rarely go over 2 hours recently.

12  Forum / General Discussions / McCain or Obama? on: September 21, 2008, 07:33:41 pm
Oh, and I did the math: I'll pay around 2 grand less in taxes under Obama (yup, I'm middle class) so that definitely helps.
13  Forum / General Discussions / McCain or Obama? on: September 21, 2008, 07:31:44 pm
Both are pretty crappy, but I'm favoring Obama.
