I assume you're trolling. If you're not, I'm just going to tell you that you're wrong. Guitar solos should be one of the most creative parts of metal. And they are, when executed properly. On-topic: My personal favorite right now is "Dead Emotion" by Paradise Lost, with "Everblack" by Mercenary just behind it.

"Puppetmaster of Pandemonium" by Chaosweaver.
People need to fucking listen to this band. They're absolutely amazing. This is definitely my album of the year. The rest are in no particular order.
"Architect of Lies" by Mercenary "Communion" by Septic Flesh "Mare Nostrum" by Stormlord "Humanity Dethroned" by Dark Empire
Opeth was good, but it was sort of a chore to listen to at parts. Heir Apparent is what really made that album for me. Amon Amarth, while also good, just didn't really match up to the other five like I was hoping.

What? There was quite a bit of hating when they were on the free festival. Lots of people would have preferred Nile or Behemoth in that spot. Even 3 Inches of Blood would have done well in that slot.

In Flames doesn't have a keyboardest. But maybe that's why you said you were gonnna get it. Neither does Paradise Lost, but they use the instrument in the studio. In Flames did use keyboard on their older material. "Worlds Within The Margin" off of Whoracle is an example.

I noticed that about 2:49 into "The Last Journey Home", it sounds a lot like "The Psalm of Lydia" by Nevermore, at least to me anyway.

Much, much better than Inhuman Rampage. This reminds me more of Sonic Firestorm/VotD, and that's a good thing. Couldn't stand Inhuman Rampage for the life of me. That album really was guilty of the whole "it all sounds the same" crap.

i liked every album as a whole up till storm the gates of hell. there were a few tracks i really liked off of it. but the s/t, summer of darkness, and the triptych were amazing albums. I agree for the most part. There were some parts on Triptych that I didn't care for (like the last track, it just seemed akward to me), but yeah, good album too.

I enjoyed the first couple of albums, couldn't really get into Storm The Gates Of Hell like I did the S/T album or Summer of Darkness.
