I still remember going to freefest and Ozzy saying to everyone "Goodnight, drive safe, and see you next year. I'm still waiting for next year to get here. It's a shame, but I agree. It's all over. Mayhemfest is the next closest thing but pales in comparison to the Ozzfest memories.

I hope this link works. Sorry if this has already been posted but I only just heard about it. What a bunch of BS.

6  Forum / General Discussions / Thick Women VS Skinny Women - Which is more sexy? on: November 18, 2009, 09:51:41 am
Not a fan of the super skinny chicks. I like women with some curves. Little mosquito bite boobies just won't cut it.

Motorhead
Venom
Exodus
Kreator
Carpathian Forest
King DIamond/Mercyful Fate (either would work)
Avantasia
Dragonforce
Darkthrone
Satyricon
Cradle of FIlth
Manowar
Freedom Call
Judas Priest
3 inches of blood
Gwar
Hammerfall
Helloween
Gamma Ray
Thy Light
Iwrestledabearonce
Nocturnal Depression

Any of these bands would work for me

Only problem is that the majority of these bands would never play at Ozzfest.

I feel like I got ripped off. They canceled the tour date I was going to go see. I have seen their live performance twice and was looking forward to a 3rd one.

I wouldn't mind a repeat of the mainstage from 2004. Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Slayer. That would be awesome to see one more time.
10  Forum / General Discussions / AEROSMITH w/o Steven Tyler ???? No such thang,..... on: November 09, 2009, 11:41:41 pm
Wow. Thats just crazy. Seems a little late in the game to concentrate on a solo career. And more importantly, for what purpose? Aerosmith has worked great for all of these years. This seems like a really foolish move.

They were really awesome! I saw them last year with Chimaira too. They put on a really good live show. Brendan Small is really talented. Mastodon was awesome too. They played all of their new album Crack the Skye.

Just saw them with Mastodon in Myrtle Beach, SC on Friday!

Lupin said: Metal imo kinda died around the late 90's when Nu metal got big.  Of course there are some decent new wave of metal bands like Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust and Warbringer, there are a ton of mediocre bands that try way to hard especially in the deathcore and metalcore scene.  That shit needs to die, give me back my Venom and Celtic Frost.

I don't know I would say metal died in the 90's. It definitely went through a transition as rap (unfortunately) became mainstream. Since the 90's metal seems to be transitioning back to its roots to a point. A lot of the old Nu Metal bands have died off and the ones that are still around and making albums have done everything they can to change their style and get away from their Nu Metal labeling. I doubt if metal will ever again be as big as it once was but it is far from dead.
14  Forum / General Discussions / Ozzy Album??? on: November 04, 2009, 06:54:27 pm
The album is expected around March now? Have they announced Zakk's replacement yet? Last I heard it was supposedly between John 5 and Slash.
15  Forum / General Discussions / Ozzy Album??? on: November 04, 2009, 06:31:08 pm
Haven't been up here in a while, but I do remember a while back that Ozzy had planned on releasing an album in November. It had been said that is why Ozzfest was canceled for this year. Now that we have reached that fateful month, I have not been able to find any news at all as far as the production of this album. Anybody have some insight? ::confused
