4  Forum / Versus / opeth vs edge of sanity on: July 02, 2008, 05:19:49 am
Opeth has more instrumental talent and is way more original. they never use your average metal riffs. More progressive than EoS too. Their riffs are acoustic based instead of electric guitar. Plus mikaels not scremo voice is better. Opeth also has a bassist that actually plays something instead of playing the same 4 frets for an entire song. EoS uses too much distortion for me to pick out their bass, so i might be wrong. Opeth also can play 11 minute songs and you never get tired of them. They make better transitions from heavy to calm than EoS, which usually uses stretched out notes instead of mikaels crazy acoustics.

all opinions. i dont listen to much EoS. Even though im listening to them now....

i like the one with the tiki for a head. its not scary its just funny. like at a show you'd think hed fall over a lot trying to support that up and still rock out.

My hope is that LoG is going to be the first major metal band not to either sell out, change their music to something gay like country, or have a band member die from drugs or angry fans.
Im hoping theyll pull a rush and just get old on stage.

CthulhuXDawn said: I remember when gas hit 2.50 a gallon and how pissed off I got. Now it's basically 4.09 a gallon and I'm fucking furious because of it. There is no reason to have gas up that high and it's fucking bullshit, uncalled for by the government and I've about had it. Somehow we Americans have to do something, anything to get that shit back down to what it should be

what i was gunna say except:

gov = opec.
americans = foriegn countries supporting opec by buying from it.
