Not groups of people silly. Shot groups... Wind is a big factor when shooting that distance. You have a spotting scope to see where you hit the target, and you can track your wind by watching the heat wave. We would shoot at a round target about 4 foot in diameter, but hitting an X in the center only a few inches wide is what the catch is.

Maybe... I always wanted to do the training but my job description didnt rate any snipers, so I never got the chance.

ever watch that show Top Shot?
its a bunch of competative shooters, competing (duh)
they had the finale last night and I missed it

that show is pretty awesome, showing all kinds of weapons
not just guns but bows, hatchets, battle axes, blow guns, etc.
I've never fired a gun but I'm awful good with a bow and arrow

Top Shot is a great show....missed last night also

I once hit a beer can with my 270 at approx. 250 yards give or take....standing ...with a 4x leopold scope
