thats pretty good for 12
the only thing I would recommend is expanding your musical taste a little bit...listen to as many other bands as you can and try and get away from the mainstream stuff like Metallica
try listening to
DEATH
Mercyful Fate
Exodus
Dream Theater
and
Testament
and after you have listened to them enough to be well informed about your music, learned some of their music and feel you ready to move on try going into the underground and listen to
Dark Angel
Acid Bath
Beyond Fear
GZR
Strapping Young Lad
and after your done with bands like those you should be at least 15......and from there dive deeper into the underground and you should be able to correctly evaluate the talent of mainstream music (some of it is actually really really good)
by the time your 18 you should be a GOD at guitar
and play better than most professionals
