Best Album 2009

okay, my time to rant. Slayer's new album was horrible, the production was completely sub-par for them being so rich. Immortal's album also disappointed me extremely. There was absolutely no low end, the songs were boring and Abbath's vocals had no emotion in them. The only song that I even semi-enjoyed was "Norden on Fire" and that was only the intro. Once it got past that, the song was a complete bore.

This has not been a good year for metal. There hasn't been a good year for metal since 86. A few good albums came out yes, such as Tyr's "By the Light of the Northern Star," Glittertind's "Landkjenning," and Ahab's "The Divinity of Oceans"
but overall, the albums from this year sucked.
