Monday, September 20, 2010 - 06:59  Kiss  as shared by DuaLeaD on Ozzy.com today

Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the release of Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Ozz" album! "Blizzard of Ozz" fired the opening salvos of what was destined to become an amazing career and it continues to inspire generations of musicians to this day. Fueled by Ozzy's iconic stage presence/songwriting and Randy Rhoad's groundbreaking Neo-Classical guitar work, it erupted onto the scene as the greatest musical comeback of all time, cemented Ozzy Osbourne's status as a rock legend, and changed the face of metal forever....

The GREATEST musicians are the ones who can get you to visualize what they are playing....
From the screeching "train whistle" bends during "Crazy Train"'s fiery intro,
To the searing pickslide sounding like a train lurching out of the station,
To the mechanical churning of a locamotive on the main verse riff,
To the runaway guitar fill when Ozzy yells, "I'm going off the rails on a crazy train!",
Randy's guitar playing took us places no other guitarist dreamed. His tone and so beautifully designed guitar solos are his legacy. He continues to inspire me as a musician and human being. Randy Rhoads is and always will be THE MASTER....

†RIP Randy Rhoads†
Long may Ozzy reign

I would have imagined with Crazy Train being in Rock Band 3, and Rust In Peace, British Steel, and Great Southern Trendkill all getting released as DLC on big anniversarys of their release dates then this would be pretty mandatory to be released.

Nope.

It was released in the UK on 20-Sep-80. It's when Ozzy's first released solo music hit the public. It doesn't matter that there was a US release too. That was secondary to the first moment his music hit reality.

Know what I mean?

I think it was worth mention. Cuz it's Ozzy!

Perhaps there is something that happens in record stores in April that certain releases could come out around.....?
