My Ideal Ozzfest...
Big Four headline the Mainstage... thats it.
on record store day, I saw a DVD of that show from last year
they wanted $60
and, crazy_eyes, were you the one who was trying to put together the big festival on here
a while ago? did it ever happen? the above line-up is cool but it would take a week to see it

It did happen. It had 2 stages. It was only about 1/10 of what I wanted. It got a damn good draw for the bands that I had playing (too many to mention, all locals). Sold 574 tickets. That truthfully ain't bad for a show with 12 bands that are all local out in the middle of nowhere. Plan on doin' another one this year. By the way, go check-out Descendant (
www.myspace.com/descendantmetal
). They opened the show (it was thier very first show) and were DEFINITLY the BEST band playing that show. The stuff they've got on there was recorded while rehearsing so it's REALLY rough, but the shit they're recording is fuckin' awesome. I'm now booking for them once they get thier new guitarist ready to do shows. I'm trying to get them on Ride for Dime 8/20 @ Tree's in Dallas. Once they get done recording and mastering and all that stuff, they're CD is goin' to the labels. Also, it will be for sale online. Anyways, for shit recorded in a rehearsal room, that's fucking AMAZING!!!!

totally awesome! shows like that get bigger and bigger every year. has anyone been on you yet about,
"dude! you gotta do that show again this year, dude!" friends of mine used to put on a weekend camping show every year. after 15 years it got kind of out of control and they had to stop it. the last year they did it, we set fire to the stage and burned it to the ground.
and sorry, my computer won't let me go on myspace anymore. my anti viral software shuts down my computer
if it detects any sort of funny stuff going on.

Umm taking into account the bands that will be available to play it who aren't broken up or dead or already on another festival that clashes or won't be in the middle of making an album at the time. Also if Ozzfest is gonna be an asshole again and either cancel the tour this year or fuck up by only doing one city or one region of the country instead of a full-on nationwide tour then they might as well give way to Mayhem and Uproar Fests and shut it totally down permanently cuz it won't even matter if any of these lineups come true in that case.
Main Stage
1. Big Four!
2. Slipknot
3. DevilDriver
4. System of a Down
5. Lamb of God
6. Ill Nino!!!!!!!!!
2nd Stage
1. Children of Bodom
2. Dream Theater
3. Fear Factory
4. Chimaira
5. Five Finger Death Punch
6. Shadows Fall
7. God Forbid
8. Throwdown!!!!!
9. Demon Hunter
10. Testament
11. Cavalera Conspiracy
12. Living Sacrifice
13. Soilwork

If that line-up happens the Ozzfest will be done regardless of how many shows they do. Also, if they did do that line-up, the bands are SEVERELY out of place.

Why is it that nobody knows how to do line-ups that might actually happen?
