I was offered a scholarship from them and I just looked into costs of the apartments.  And the only one's I can afford without selling a kidney would be so shitty that I'd be pulling rats out of my ass every morning.

my neice moved there several years ago and had a helluva time finding a good job
the cheapest apartment she could find was about $550 a month right near the college
they had horrible flooding during the last hurricaine that hit the texas coast

I found this on apartments.com.  It was like $299/month.  When I think 'bout it, I'd also have to worry 'bout shoving gettin' robbed every night.

Actually, yes.  And I think I've found who It'd be.  I have a friend from HS that lives about 30 minutes away from Houston.

Don't do it, Houston is not a nice town at all, if you have a choice move to Austin, people are nice and the city is actually quite beautiful.
