THEN . . . saturday night we went to Anthrax/Testament/Death Angel!!

we couldn't get out of the house before 7:00 and missed Death Angel but got there right as Testament started
it still took us an hour to park, but we paid $20 to valet the car at the restaurant next door to the show
we moved up about halfway down on the main floor and met up with a bunch of our old metal friends from
the last thirty something years of going to shows. Testament was loud and awesome, with a wicked backdrop
accented by lights and fog. their pit was huge and brutal.
we moved up and around to the other side and got all the way to the front lines for Anthrax.
we stayed off to the right on Scott Ian's side so we avoided the mad crush front and center
their set was heavy on the older stuff, and Joey Belladonna's voice was in fine form.
during 'Indians,' Scott stopped the show to yell at the audience that the pit was "Gay! not gay like gay but gay like happy. it's a wardance people! dance like you're going to war!" and the place blew up.
great weekend of shows. I'm exhausted
