Earthquakes &/or Hurricanes (tropical storms)

We in just had a 6.0 Earthquake here in NC about 15 minutes ago. Bad enough to notice. even rattled windows, broke a few wine glasses, basicly like a large semi passing for almost a minute. Again, not major, but shocking nonetheless. We do have some tektonic plates under an old fault line that rarely gets triggered. Global warming, heres your sign.

Hurricane Irene; cat3, possible cat4. 80mph winds with flooding up to 7 feet. Will hit saturday at latest. If you live anywhere along the coast: NC, SC, VA, TN & further up! Stock up on bottled water or brew tap water & place in thick capped clean plastic containers (sodas are fine too, but can get flat) canned goods, flashlights, lots of batteries, cell phones & charge whatever portable entertainment devices. If you live in a trailer...evacuate!

Also...matches or lighters, charcoal, portable or hibatci grill, any meds your family may need, ID's & housekeys, fishing boots or waterproof work boots, life vests, pack cherished goods like clothes or photos in Ziploc freezer bags,  Napkins, paperplates & camping supplies. Make sure you fill your tank but dont get gas from low lying stations. storm is 800 miles accross!
