Nineteen women who worked at a Tilted Kilt on Wabash Avenue have filed a sexual harassment lawsuit on Wednesday against the Celtic-themed sports bar, known for their servers who wear skimpy outfits. . . . .
The women claim that one of the restaurant's managers and owners created a "sexually hostile, offensive, humiliating and degrading work environment" that was "frequent, severe, on-going and lasted for the duration of the plaintiffs' employment." It was also "uninvited and unwelcome," the suit said.
The lawsuit lists nearly 30 examples.
Among them:
-- Taking a straw full of water, placing it down at least one of the plaintiffs' outfits, releasing the water and making such comments as "I'm trying to get your panties wet."
-- Stating to at least one of the plaintiffs: "Meow, meow, you're a dirty kitty."
