MY FRIEND'S GONNA LIVE!!!!

Buddah (as everybody around her calls him, even though he's not Buddist) is gonna live.  He was diagnosed w/ stomach cancer about two years ago.  Now, it's in remission.  He no longer has to go through chemotherapy.  And everything's gonna be all better.  Always good to know when somebody beats cancer.  I was there when the oncologist told him he was not going to live about 18 months ago.

Awesome!  Stomach cancer is the 2nd most difficult cancer to overcome (pancreatic #1).

lost my father to cancer 12 yrs ago.....
its god awful to watch a friend or a family member go threw that
damn good news to hear  that your friend is goin to be ok......

glad to hear your friend is going to be ok.  we lost my dad dec 2010 to cancer....  he went into remission and it came back with a vengence.  prior to dad we lost my aunt to stomach cancer and my grandmother to cancer,  hers was a more rare form of cancer..... its a tough road the best thing we can do for them is be strong and supportive.

we just got word today that my cousin went in for follow up tests for his pancreatic cancer
which he's been fighting for years now.  his test levels were nearly undetectible this time.

It's amazing how far research and treatment has come so far along in such a relatively short time.

I too lost my dad to cancer, coming up on four years ago at the end of this month.
he was first diagnosed with kidney cancer, had one kidney removed, then developed leukemia.
he was thisclose to being on a stem cell research trial.
