I was about to create my own petition for this.  Then, right before I did, it showed 'related petitions' so I decided to give-up on creating it and just signed this one.  If you don't sign this then your favorite band is Creed.

okay, so they needed 25,000 signatures and have 60,667.  now what?
does anyone in any position of power actually pay attention or does it matter?  because . . .

there's a petition to shut down the petition site.  and some of the other ones are pretty stupid.

Congress doesn't even see the petition unless there's at least 25,000 signatures.  Once it reaches 25,000 signatures a bill is written and it is voted on by congress.  Whether or not they've started writing a bill is completely different.
