DAVE Petersen has become the Bulls’ third new recruit after

the former Hull KR Buy Nike Free 5.0 player agreed a one-year deal for next

season.

The versatile loose forward arrives from Australian Intrust

Super Cup outfit Mackay Cutters and follows Dan Fleming and

Jake Mullaney in joining Jimmy Lowes’ men for 2015.

Petersen has a fine pedigree, having progressed through the

ranks at Craven Park and captaining the under-18s side before

stepping up to the under-20s and then making four first-team

appearances, scoring one try.

The 22-year-old moved to Australia in 2012 to join the Cutters

but is now keen to return home and make his mark with Bradford

in the Championship.

Petersen, a former Hull Wyke amateur, said: “The opportunity

to come home and play for a club like Bradford was one I

simply could not afford to turn down.

“The idea of playing under James Lowes was what swayed my

decision to sign for the Bulls, knowing someone who cares so

much about the club is in charge.

“I have really progressed as a player during my time with the

Cutters and have lived a great lifestyle in Australia, but

feel ready to return to the UK and kick on.

“This is a big chance for me and I want to make an impact.

Bradford is a great club, with firm foundations Nike Free Run 2014 now in place,

and I hope to help them get back to where they belong.

“I’m extremely enthusiastic and am committed to working very

hard. That’s the kind of game I will be bringing to the

Bulls.

“The opportunity to sign for Mackay was one I could not

afford to turn down, despite looking like I would be staying

in Super League with the Rovers.

“I saw it as a chance to better my life and career and I

believe I have done that. Now I’m just looking forward to my

future with Bradford.”
