I finally saw them live at Sounds of the Underground on Sunday, and though they were only allowed 25 mins, they killed. Their riffs stick in your head, even after one listening. Hail ODIN indeed.

dammit, I hate it when this happens, I've been a huge fan of Amon Amarth since "The Crusher" album, very rare was it to find anyone that knew who they were until a couple months ago.


it seems like it really destroys alot of bands when this type of thing happens and to find someone that likes them is a dime-a-dozen, like slipknot and lamb of god, Lamb Of God is incredible, slipknot questionable, but they're so popular now people might hear the radio single at that particular time and say "oh slipknot they did duality I fucking love slipknot" then they hear the rest of their music and are like WTF I didn't know they were a metal band" or some shit like that

EVERYONE knows who they are now and they'll just become another mallcore band

I hope they go back to Sweden and don't come back for several years to lose all these gay poser fans that know them simply because they know them from SOTU

I"ve listened to Amon Amarth for a while now. I agree with you though on how one song gets played on the radio and then all of a sudden everyone's in love with the band
