cradle of filth is total suckness! it's not that there posers it just that i wouldn't consider them black metal, they screech like black metal it's just thier lyrics are more satanic and gothic, black metal is pretty much about medieval ages and anarchy, of course they have satanic stuff in them it depends on how heavy you get. i don't know i just don't like them. Me, i am personally a satyricon fan so yeah

There good but I can't see myself getting into them. The only CD i have by them is From the cradle to enslave which I got for $10 but it is a great CD. But I can't see myself buying another one. But when I think about buying  another I always end up buying something else.

Cradle to Enslave is the CD ::animatedlaugh Although then again the one on Cradle to Enslave is the be quick or be dead version of the song so I maybe wrong. I wouldn't know if the song is on another CD for I'm not a huge fan of the band.

I would not think that you have heard too much black metal. A Good majority of black metal is satanic, as well as paganistic, national socialist, as well as mideval.  

As for cof...as much as people dont like to agree, most black metal fans were fans of cradle at one point in their lives. I, even though i now hate the band (well, mostly the sound of the singer's voice), i too liked the band...but as most would tend to do, i grew out of them when i fell deeper into more cvlt and more true music.
