That's the nail. MY kids know I killed for this country. Why? Because it's the truth. My kids know that for all outward purposes I am addicted,  trying to deal with the pain. My kids know that as a true viking when given the opportunity I will fight, and understand I must fight in some cases. They understand the outcome is either long term jail or my death. They know that i truly don't believe in valhalla  but that that is the ideal I live to attain. They also know without a shadow of doubt I love them.
