Their fourth album comes out next year, and they've been pretty solid, so I would say that patience may be a virtue. Nothing wrong with taking your time.

I actually like Slipknot. I don't have the Kill.Feed.Mate.Repeat, I think it's called, but I have everything else. They were the first metal band I found. ::animatedlaugh They used to be my fav, but now they are NOWHERE near the top of my favorite bands.

It's unfair to compare them to Slayer seeing as that Slayer is one of the bands that found a sound they like and have stuck to it for the past 20 or so years and havn't really changed it much making it a lot easier to produce albums fast.  It's a great sound and it works for them but Slipknot has changed their sound between their 3 albums. That takes longer to do.
