I think it is better than putting out a bunch of crap. If they only have that many cds there has to be a reason besides the side projects. It shows they just don't want to throw a bunch of crap onto a cd and release it.

I love how Corey Taylor in interviews always talks about how much Slipknot means to everyone and how they have a purpose and will always be relevant. Hes a fucking pompous asshole.

It's apparent that a lot of people here don't like Slipknot, but I love them. And I don't mind defending my opinion.  It's my personal opinion that their four albums (m.f.k.r. counts in my book, anyway) are solid, and agree with previous statements and examples that longevity doesn't mean you need a billion albums. They're successful (i will not fault bands who succeed) and have nine people without breaking up, which I admire. As far as I know, they're still together (after a scare insinuating they /were/ going to break up... that's why Voliminal was created). In short, it's quality not quantity that counts in my book, and in my book Slipknot fits the bill. I'm ready for my abuse. ::laugh |
