from blabbermouth

Although no official announcement has yet been made, Miami, Florida-based hard rock band BLACK TIDE (formerly RADIO) appears to have been granted a main-stage slot at this year's Ozzfest beginning on August 10 in Tinley Park, Illinois. As you may recall, BLACK TIDE was originally tapped to replace CIRCUS DIABLO on Ozzfest's second stage, but was forced to drop off the bill HuhHuh?? without even playing a single note. The reason? The second stage is being sponsored by J????germeister, and the group's youngest musician is only 14 years old, making BLACK TIDE too young to rock alongside HATEBREED, BEHEMOTH and NILE.

BLACK TIDE recently completed work on its debut album with producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SOIL). The CD is scheduled for release in early 2008 via Interscope Records.

BLACK TIDE is:

Gabriel Garcia (age 14) HuhHuh?? Vocals/Guitar
Alex Nunez (age 17) - Guitar
Zachary Sandler (age 18) - Bass
Steven Spence (age 19) - Drums

Just heard there song 'Shockwave' and i've gotta say it's not bad, better than alot of the other bands this year IMO.  Wish some more bands would drop out, but they better do it real soon.    ::animatedlaugh

LACK TIDE recently completed work on its debut album with producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SOIL). The CD is scheduled for release in early 2008 via Interscope Records.

I'm just waiting to hear back from them on weather or not they are goig to do FYE signing.

I don't think it's an insult at all!  I bet they're all happy for Black Tide, and the wonderful opportunity they've been given!  I think they're a solid band, and it really doesn't matter what age they are as long as they can rock ::animatedsmile
