Band:
Awaken
Country:
Colombia (
prob.
NFD's
cousins
::finger
Genre:
Melo-death
Members:
Dayro Gonz????lez - Vocals
Sergio Lopez - Guitars
Fernando Cruz - Drums
Andres Flores - Guitars
Diego Hernandez - Bass
Discography:
- Evolution (2005)
What i like about the Band:
It's a band that has litteraly taken the terms "Melodic Death Metal" and put unto an album. The leads are fucking great, Maiden-esque. The rhythm is great too, sometimes power metal-ish, other times straight up death metal riffs. It all varies. The vocals are great, no accent... so they arent as cheesy. Only thing is the production is a bit below average, but they're an unsigned band. Nothing more could be expected.
Sounds Like:
No one really..... A Mix between Iron Maiden and Carcass ??

Melodic Black/Folk/Power
Members:
Justine: Drums
??milie: Violin
Jonathan: Keyboard
Paul Zinay: Vocals
Terry: Guitar

Discography:
- So it Begins (2007)
What i like about the Band:
The're sorta on the border of avant-garde, but thing is they really dont have a new and unique sound. They just mix things that already exist together. And well... it comes out very good. Some songs are real doomy, the next might be real power metal-ish, and the one after that could be real folkish. Or a mix between everything. They're an extremely talented band. The Vivaldi influence is very much shown by the violinist. (Not a lot throughout the album though)
Sounds Like:
Skyfire mixed with some Turisas.

Country: German/Swedish
Genre: Power/Progressive Metal

Band: CORE
Country: USA
Genre: Industrial/ Rock
Members:
Jim Samb - Vocals
Erik Valentine - Guitar
Clark Gardner- Drums
What i like about the Band: I love the vocals melodic, dark, and yet heavy at the same time. The drum work is distinctive without being over powering. The riffs and synthesizer effects are tastefully done and fit the song structure. Song writting is unique in the fact that each song stands out sounding completely different than the one prior to yet without compromising the integrity and essential sound of the band.
Discography: Album has yet to be released

Sounds Like:
NIN/ TOOL/ Marilyn Manson...
not really, but they'll end up being compared to them anyway.
