When to start guitar?

My three year old went to his first metal concert Saturday. He was VERY impressed. He always used to air guitar, scream and jump off the couch while air guitaring. Now he really wants to play (that and drums) When do you think the soonest i should start the guitar lessons are? I started drum at 8, flute at 9 and vioin at 10. But I am sure he can start his music education earlier than that. Suggestions from those who play/teach?::looking
