According to InsideOut Music, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD frontman Devin Townsend's latest album, Ziltoid The Omniscient, was the #1 most added on the CMJ and FMQB metal charts this week.

As previously reported, Ziltoid has issued a new video transmission entitled Not My Space via the official Ziltoid MySpace page. Go to http://www.myspace.com/ziltoidtheomniscient to check it out.

The official Ziltoid The Omniscient MySpace page features three tracks from the album, 'ZTO', 'By Your Command' and 'Hyperdrive'. The album tracklist is as follows: 'By Your Command', 'Ziltoidia Attaxx!', 'Solar Winds', 'Hyperdrive', 'N9', 'Planet Smasher', 'Omnidimensional Creator', 'Color Your World', 'The Greys', 'Tall Latt?Huh'. The album was released through InsideOut on May 22nd.

The following is the HevyDevy Records summary of the Ziltoid album:

"The story as follows (without revealing too much): Ziltoid The Omniscient, a 4th dimensional alien has come to earth and is currently hovering five miles above Qatar. Beaming messages to the earth, including video, music, and words, His Omniscient-ness has one dimension up on us humans, allowing him control over time. But, in order to bend time he requires the perfect fuel - BLACK COFFEE - found in abundance on only one planet in the omniverse... Earth. He plays guitar and sings, is moody and a bit sensitive, with his first record due in late June. Surrounded by nymphs and prancing plasma beings, the album was produced by Devin Townsend in the hangar of the Ziltoidian space barge. All hail Ziltoid and his Infinity metal! Prepare your finest brew!

Ziltoid doesn't want to destroy the earth now...he just wants to be known as the best guitar player and get lots of chicks."

Dude, that "Not My Space" video blog is gold. Devin could have made it as a stand-up comedian...
