Yeah, people from my area who wouldn't know true metal if it raped them in the face are going to Ozzfest and will brag that they went, allthough they'll just be standing in the back drinking lemonade. More than half of the bands on the Ozzfest bill is a big disappointment, not just Static-X. Why are bands like Circus Diaboli and The Showdown there? I didn't even know of these bands before Ozzfest and really wish I never listened to their music.

I saw the main stage lineup and i almost pissed myslef with glee. Lamb of God and Lordi. Then i scrolled down some more and i saw static x. They dont even deserve to have their band name capitalized. They suck beyond the paint of redemption. How can u be taken seriusly as a rock band if ur lead singer looks like a morph of dane cook with mental retardation and slim jim hair?

Not to make a slant against any band on the bill (we obviously all have are fervent opinions and tastes), but the 'free' aspect probably has something to do with the unusual line up. Money makes the world turn and money, more than likely, would have made a more agreeable line up. Then again, I've never met an Ozzfest regular who's ever been 100% satisfied with the line up.

Metal bands do not rely on looks, at least, they shouldn't. I don't hate Static-X, but really wish there was another band in their slot instead. I really anticipated the naming of the "mystery band" and when I saw Static-X, I was disapponited. They don't suck nearly as much as most of the bands on Second Stage, though.

I think the lineup is pretty much awesome. I agree that Circus Diablo and The Showdown pretty much suck, but other than that, it's actually really good.

Well, In This Moment, 3 Inches Of Blood, Ankla, Nick Oliveri, and Hatebreed also suck in my opinion. The other bands more than make up for it though. Compared to these bands, Static-X sound pretty damn good.

I'm looking forward to seeing every band at Ozzfest, because I always find new bands to start listening to. But, i really like Static-X so that'll make going even better.
