Anidyne & Wake of Destruction opened... nothing special

Machine Head headlined and absolutely destroyed!  This was a warm-up gig for their upcoming tour w/ Hellyeah & Nonpoint.  It was in a TINY club, and you could tell the band were really laid back & enjoying themselves.  Flynn kept tossing beers into the crowd and joking around.  He singled out 1 guy in the front row b/c he wasn't headbanging enough.  Then a few songs later he told that guy he was doing much better.  "Old" was the highlight of the set for sure.  They were supposed to play "Descend the Shades of Night," but instead they did a covers medley of "Creeping Death" (from the other band from the bay area that's "slightly bigger than Machine Head," according to Flynn), "Territory" (with Igor Cavalera on drums... OK, it was actually Dave, but Flynn called him Igor), and "A New Level" and "Walk."  Amazing show from Machine Head as always.  The setlist: .

Clenching the Fists of Dissent
Now I Lay Thee Down
Aesthetics of Hate
Take My Scars
