you can make a song with only guitars. you can not write a song with only drums, unless you are queen or a rapper. i'm gonna go with guitars.

well being a musician and experienced at playing both id say guitar just for the sheer fact that its easier to haul around to shows theres alot more to carry around with drums and drums have to be set up just write for Metal style playing or the drummer will be winded too soon or off time,but im a drummer so i can make this assesment.
