The reason for not having the voting

As you remember, Ozzfest '05 - '07 had voting for bands.  This year, they aren't having the voting because they want everything to be a complete suprise.  In the past few years you would pretty much know who was goin' on Ozzfest 2nd stage because everybody was talkin' about who was goin', yet Ozzy said that the 2nd stage is for bands that have never been heard before.  That's the reason for no voting.  Now I'm gonna get a lot of shit from the people who already knew this.

Normally, when Sharon does the line-up without voting, it's a little better.  Look at Ozzfest '04.  That was the best year and it was all Sharon.

Actually, the fact that a virtually unheard of band would have to pay a HUGE sum of $$$ to get on the tour is where it goes wrong from the start....Capitalist bastards....::animatedlaugh

That is VERY true.  Sharon doesn't need any more $ than she's already stole from Ozzy.  She's stolen more $ than most people will make in their life-time.  Why the hell do they have to come up with $ they don't have.

Exactly, this places bands who cannot afford at a disadvantage....they may be far more talented and have a better sound but cannot put up that much money....I guess that is why the aristocracy continues to rule the music scene, it is who you know or who you're related to......
