Ok...Rickys band have played two shows over the last week. I used a regular old camcorder to tape it all. Nothing digital, just straight to tape. I then hooked that fucker up to my DVD recorder, and recorded the shows onto a DVD-R. The DVD-R works fine in the actual recorder, but when I try to play it on my pc or in another player it doesnt recognize that theres any data on the disc.
Ive got a program on here that lets me make chapters, title screens, add music to titles and what not, and I wanted to make each band that played with us a copy, but I cant get the damn thing ripped to my pc.

ve never done what you just described.
have you tried making another DVD with your recorder and maybe having the file in a different format?

I dont know how to change the format =[ Im thinking it might work better with dvd-rw or something. Hell I dont know...

I usually just rip DVD's from netflix on my dads computer, but I used a Double Layer DVD and it wasn't recognized by my laptop

I used a dvd-rw and it worked. my computer was just being a bitch. now i get to edit a ton of stuff!
