I bought a bunch of DJ shitwhen i was 14 and was Dj'in a school all night party for the seniors, and BYOB was huge with the (badass) seniors, soi bought Mesmerized, and i was hooked and that brought me into full fuckin metalheadedness. so my answer: System of a Down
wasn't that like a year ago? dont you need a little more time to be "into full fuckin metalheadness" ....

Originally Korn and System of a Down, though I don't listen to Korn anymore. When I was in 6th grade, I saw the "Aerials" by SOAD and "Thoughtless" by Korn videos on mtv one day and decided I liked it. But Slayer got me into metal that wasn't nu metal.

Pantera and Iron Maiden were my introduction
Killswitch Engage is the first metal band that I REALLY got way into though. And it just developed from there.

Ozzy started it all for me. That lead me to see Metallica opening up for him.

Kiss when I was really little got me into hard rock. But slaughter of the soul by At the Gates really got me into metal
