it's been a slow year for me so far- I only saw 2 shows
Queensryche- they did a good show at Noia theatre in NYC, but, they did not play any of my favs and they let some contest winner come up and waste time singing a police cover
Airbourne- saw them at a small club- Maxwell's in Hoboken NJ- if you like Rock n Roll with metal edge and total fing energy- ala AC-DC- go see these guys now when you can still see them in small venue-

I am going to see The Sword next week- seen them 3 times so far and they are the best young metal band out there
going to Maiden - does anybody know who the opening act is for them this tour?

going to Priest/Heaven & Hell/Motorhead/Testament- this is the best band lineup by far for this year-

thinking about going to see Mayhem- I dont like the headliners, but- there are a lot of string bands playing- Machine Head, Mastodon, Dragonforce, Airbourne, Black Tide- could be worth the 3 hour drive for the saturday show in Ct, if I can find somebody to split gas/motel with

gonna skip Crue fest, cause I have zero interest in the other bands playing

Ozzfest? if they play on a Saturday within driving distance of NY and have a strong lineup- I will go- but for the bs and waiting for info- they better have Sabbath and Zeppelin play to make it worth the wait

waiting also to see who where when the Sounds of the Underground tour will be- that was good last year

also might go to Hatebreed and 3 inches of Blood

Went to ROCK2WGTN (in Wellington, NZ) at Easter this year. The line up was LORDI, ALICE COOPER and KISS on day 1 and POISON, WHITESNAKE and OZZY on day 2. Fucking awesome to see such a great line up, so close.

Going to see Iron Maiden at Concord, CA on 28 May.
My first concert ever in the USA and the first time I'll have seen Maiden.
I cant fucking wait!

- This Tuesday: The Police/ Elvis Costello (with my GF, and it's the only chance I'll ever have to see them, and it's right after my fuckin' AP Chemistry test)

- Next Week: Nightwish, some openers

- May 18: Pointfest (my birthday): Serj, Shinedown, Coheed/Cambria, KSE, Filter, Atreyu, etc (should be okay, got free tix due to my relation to one of the above bands)

- June 7: Rockfest KC: STP, Shinedown, Saliva, Sevendust, etc.

- June: Iron Maiden, Madison Square & Chicago, both GA PIT

- July 10: 311, Snoop Dogg, Fiction Plane (with my GF)

- July 22: Mayhem Fest (backstage, w00t)

-August-ish: 2 dates on Metal Masters Tour

- August: Ozzfest, depending on the date it falls on (if it conflicts w/ Metal Masters, it's a no-go)

And there's my summer- fucking awesome.
